Play Together
You must play with one other person registered in the league
Notify Commissioners of Round
You must notify one of the league commissioners that you are going to be playing a registered round that day PRIOR to round start
Since we will not all be in person, and you can play any course any number of times prior to event logging, we will need to put some guardrails in place
A text message works fine here to any of the commissioners
“The Grint”
An invite to the tour through the app will be shared upon registration/payment to the league
You will be required to post your scores hole by hole to properly calculate.
Posting a total score will not work here, as that does not account for Gross and Net Scores, which we will use for tie breakers. If a score is submitted this way it will not count.
The league member you play with must attest your score through The Grint (little hand raised after you post your score)
You can check event and season standings within the tour
Help links are at the bottom of the page with a link to the tour, detailed instructions on how to log your score, and how to associate it to the league
Handicaps Required
A registered handicap will be required to participate in the league
The Grint will track your handicap once you have enough rounds registered, so you are encouraged to use it throughout the year to get your index going. If you do not have a registered handicap index (or at least range through The Grint), the commissioners will make a decision on an appropriate handicap to be used
If you track your handicap through CDGA, you can connect that through The Grint in your account settings to pull in your handicap
If you do not have a handicap, you will fill out the handicap helper on the registration form. A handicap will be calculated for you by the commissioners, and will be put on the handicaps page on this site for your reference.
Make sure you input your handicap that is listed there within The Grint upon round start. Any handicap used other than what is listed for players without a handicap will not count.
Play Fair
No Gimmes! Not completing a putt into the hole should receive an automatic 10 on the hole.
If there is a question on a ruling for OB, drop spot for water, or water in bunkers, make a fair decision. Usually close but no closer to the hole is a good rule of thumb.
In the case of either water in the bunker, or ball plugged or in a divot, a “clean and place” is acceptable. We’re not that good…
It’s a marathon, not a sprint
Since you are paying for a full season, it benefits you to play in as many events as possible to try and earn a top spot for the season. Each event will earn you “season points”. Each event will have an individual winner as well, so even if you are not able to play them all, you still have a chance to earn some points and earn some cash if you play well enough!
What can I earn?
Details on payouts/points are listed on the League Details page. Payouts for each event and the season will depend on the number of registrants throughout the year. You can register at any point throughout the year, so you are encouraged to invite your friends as well!
